About Me
I am Dr. Bánkólé Idowu Akínwándé, a senior lecturer in the Department of English at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo. Originally from Ondo State, Nigeria, my academic journey is driven by a profound passion for language, literature, and the cultural dynamics that shape society.
Holding a PhD in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, I have dedicated years to teaching and mentoring students in English language and literature, while investigating the intersections of culture, identity, and social realities through research. I believe language is more than a means of communication, it is a powerful lens for examining and challenging the complexities of the world. I am honored to be a fellow of the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship (GAIMF) and an active member of esteemed professional organizations such as the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Lagos Studies Association (LSA), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). These affiliations underscore my commitment to both academic excellence and community engagement.
